BEL AIR, MD — Two workforce of dining establishments in Bel Air have been honored by the Cafe Association of Maryland at its 2022 gala. Every calendar year, the trade group acknowledges leaders in the cafe sector, designating winners in groups from best chef to best bartender.
Shelby Stange of Impartial Brewing Organization was honored as Bartender of the Year, and Kristen Oktavec of 1 Eleven Most important was named the Supervisor of the Calendar year.
They had been amid numerous winners honored with a gala on Sunday, March 27, at Maryland Stay!
Stange “has an unbelievable perform ethic” and was described as “sweet,” handy and “professional about brewing beer,” according to the Cafe Association of Maryland.
Oktavec was described as a “desire staff” who “encompasses all the things about a cafe manager you could at any time hope for,” according to the Restaurant Affiliation of Maryland. “She is selfless, putting consumer expertise about own time, cares for her personnel [and] fills in at a moment’s notice.”
Nearby, Amanda Wiley of Fallston Barrel Property was named Server of the Calendar year.
Other winners were Chef of the Calendar year Gregory James of Stars Cafe/Inn at Perry Cabin 2022 Restaurateurs of the Year Joe and Mary Barbera of in Columbia and 2022 Coronary heart of the Marketplace Award receiver Roxanne Upole, standard manager of the Roy Rogers in Cumberland.
