KANSAS Metropolis, Mo. — A community pet keep owner is looking for the female she said tried out to steal her cat from her enterprise.
Had it not been for a K9 Closet worker, she could’ve walked proper out of the keep with the cat, affectionately named Robert DeNiro.
In surveillance online video Friday evening, you see a lady enter the retail outlet on Wornall Street by way of the front door.
Just after allegedly thieving doggy food items and raw hide chews, the female picks Robert up and starts to walk out of the retailer. That’s when the worker, Deanna Deegan, intervenes.
“I had to bodily just grab him and consider him again to the counter, so it was extremely odd,” Deegan claimed. “It was seriously concerning when she type of picked the cat up, Robert, and didn’t say just about anything to him, and commenced walking toward the doorway, and experimented with to leave with him.”
Kansas Metropolis Law enforcement are concerned.
Retail store operator Heidi Schamberger stated Robert is a rescue from KC Pet Venture.
Given that he’s a Himalayan, she wonders if that could be a motive, provided they can go for $1,300.
“Pets are vital to persons and it is been a difficulty currently in Kansas Metropolis with men and women stealing pets, so I do feel she ought to be charged,” Schamberger reported.
In the police narrative, the woman included is described as an older Black woman, wearing a grey hoodie, maroon stocking cap, gray sweat pants, and a blue health-related confront mask.
