Wales is a country that is part of the island of Great Britain and belongs to the United Kingdom. Interestingly, Wales has its own culture, language, customs, holiday, music as well as cuisine. However, with the influx of tourists and residents from all over the world, there are many restaurants with a myriad of cuisines available in Wales. If you are planning to go to Wales for your holidays, you must book early for your Wales holiday cottages. These fabulous Wales holiday cottages are safe and comfortable which makes it the number one choice of holidaymakers. Wales holiday cottages also bring you close to the different restaurants and here are two of the popular seafood restaurants.

The Seahorse Seafood Bistro and Restaurant

The Seahorse Seafood Bistro and Restaurant, owned by Don and Gill Hadwin, is located at 7 Church Walks, Llandudno and just a few minutes away from the Promenade and the prestigious Wales holiday cottages. The restaurant has two levels. The first level serves international cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The upstairs dining room has a coffee house setting and menu. The Seahorse is open daily from 4:30 p.m. onwards. There are special events such as the Thai nights, Italian or French or Great British Evening that you must watch out for.

Popular starters include spicy Thai style salad of pan-fried beef with chillies, sweet soy and coriander served on marinated bean sprouts; Mediterranean fish soup or seared scallops with lemon and saffron sauce. Duck which is making its way into many menus in the UK is featured as one of the restaurant’s specialties with pan-fried Gressingham duck breast served with sweet Thai plum sauce. The Welsh lamb and whole grilled lobster with garlic butter or thermidor sauce are popular items on the menu. At the end of the meal, you can go for the handmade traditional hot toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream or the yummy freshly-baked Italian double chocolate torte served with vanilla ice cream. The wine list is impressive and includes many wines from around the world. You can order some desserts before you head back to your Wales holiday cottages so you can have some midnight snacks.

The Blue Ball Restaurant

The Blue Ball Restaurant can be found at Upper Frog Street in historic Tenby. You can easily locate this restaurant if you are staying at the luxurious Wales holiday cottages. This restaurant appeals to both young professionals and families as well. The Blue ball uses only ingredients that are bought from the best local suppliers including some award-winning ones. Being a seaside resort, seafood and fish figure prominently in different imaginative dishes in their menu. Their menu changes frequently depending on what is available in the market. The ambiance is relaxing while the service is efficient and friendly.

Its early evening lite bite menu is delicious but reasonably priced. However, the ala carte menu features Modern British cuisine with many dishes that you must watch out for. Some of the tasty dishes are homemade faggots or steak and ale pie, hand dived scallops or line caught sea bass. The signature dish of the restaurant is pork Wellington. Desserts include passion fruit pannacotta or a selection of Welsh farmhouse cheeses. You can choose from international wines with 5 house selections that you can order by the glass and several rose, champagne and regular guest wines.
