Mango Mango’s Cleveland place is intended to fill what franchise proprietor Bin Zheng noticed as a hole in Northeast Ohio’s culinary scene.
“I grew up listed here in Northeast Ohio and we experienced so quite a few good dining establishments right here, but we didn’t have any Asian dessert retailers,” Zheng said. “My spouse and I thought, we require one thing different right here.”
Zheng has expertise owning and working Chinese and Japanese dining establishments in Northeast Ohio, but normally focuses on dinners alternatively of sweets.
On a journey with his wife, Zheng stopped at the Chicago location of Mango Mango and was impressed. The brand name focuses on types of desserts, including ice product, cakes, waffles and mango smoothies.

Zheng trained in New York with Mango Mango’s crew, learning the ropes of the brand’s tactic. Mango Mango’s site states the brand focuses on fusing modern dessert traits with classic Hong Kong sweet soups. The first place opened in 2013, and it has since expanded to have 30 places in 13 states.
Cleveland’s Mango Mango resembles other locations of the manufacturer, with a smooth, dazzling interior. The shop listed here, situated in a former convenience store, has been remodeled into a hip hangout. Booths line the again wall, though model new tables and chairs fill the relaxation of the space. A mango-formed hanging chair is out there in the corner of the home.
