QUINCY — In February, the leaders of the Asian American Assistance Affiliation at the Wollaston Senior Middle determined to plan a 2021 fundraiser with a bold new taste.

“We wanted to give them meals they essentially prefer,” said Joyce Guan, longtime govt director of the Wollaston Senior Center. The recipes would be proposed by the city’s Chinese residents energetic at the center at 550 Hancock St., which has 150 members who arrive from Quincy, Milton, Braintree, Weymouth and Randolph. 

“We went about and asked them what food items they would like,” Guan claimed. “We asked them to give us some names of dishes they had at house with their people, to tell us recipes, and they gave us a great deal of suggestions. This Friday, April 30, the 1st meal in the new plan will be served: marinated grilled pork chops, rice, peas, sweet corn, and carrots and a fresh new banana.
