The best cafe in Africa in 2022, Fyn (selection 37), along with Mayta in Peru (quantity 32), Le Clarence in France (range 28), and Alchemist in Demark (range 18) are also new entries.
The Maximum Climber Award—which goes to the restaurant which has risen the most spots in the ranking given that the past list—went to Nobelhart & Schmutzig in Germany (selection 17).
The World’s Best Pastry Chef Award, in the meantime, was gained by Rene Frank, from Coda in Berlin, and the Artwork of Hospitality Award, went to Atomix in New York Metropolis. The World’s Very best Sommelier Award, a brand new prize for 2022, went to Josep Roca from Very best of the Ideal restaurant El Celler de Can Roca in Spain.
