Get cooking, more healthy with ‘real’ food stuff

Sarah Axtell has prolonged thought in educating her sufferers to skip processed meals and cook at property. She needs all people to get cooking. 

She begun running a blog about meals and recipes even though in professional medical school, and saved sharing recipes when she moved to Wisconsin. In 2011, she opened Lakeside Natural Medicine, 3510 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood.

In March, the clinic moved to a larger place and Axtell fulfilled another dream: her personal kitchen area to teach healthful cooking and provide workshops. Now, the naturopathic medical doctor is featuring demonstrations and workshops in the area, beginning with a digital “Food Is Medicine Workshop” on Oct. 17. Query: What is your track record? 

Remedy: I’m at first from Cincinnati and went to UW-Madison for undergrad, wherever I examined diet. On graduation, I could either go to health-related college or become a dietitian. Both equally fields felt like they have been lacking. I did my exploration and observed naturopathic healthcare school.
