Restaurant goes viral for honest description of the dishes

Ordering a new dish at a restaurant can be a stressful experience. While many like trying new things, no one wants to get stuck with an item they don’t enjoy for their meal. Luckily, a Chinese restaurant in Canada has come up with a solution, as they have including extremely honest descriptions of all the items on their menu.

Photos of the menu for a Chinese restaurant in Montreal, Aunt Dai, went viral recently after a customer shared some of the descriptions included by the owner. Each dish has an extremely honest, and in depth description of the dish, ranging from the flavor profiles to the owner’s overall opinion. While some dishes were given positive reviews, some were even put down on the menu, such as Orange Beef.

“Comparing to our General Tao Chicken, this one is not THAT good. Anyway, I’m not a big fan of North American Chinese food and it’s your call,” the owner wrote on the menu for the dish. Many online are hoping other restaurants pick up this trend. Although, it won’t work if other restaurants aren’t willing to be as honest.
